This Summer a group has been hitting the streets and doing some walking. We meet at the church office at 9:00 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays and we walk about an hour. Our caravan includes walkers, strollers, and bikers. If you’re looking to get some exercise and some good fellowship, join us. We would love to have you.

Thanks to Kerry and his helpers, there is a new entrance onto Journey North Church’s land. The culvert and beautiful drive will make it much easier to get on the property for those who are going there to look around, show others, walk, pray, dream, and keep it mowed (thanks also to those who have been haying and mowing and spraying for poison ivy!).

Take a good look at our growing family. Thursday night we celebrated the recent arrivals of these cute little boys. These two sisters delivered their baby boys 3 days apart and were in the hospital at the same time… how fun!
In the past month God has blessed our church family with five new babies. Along with our recent arrivals, several more bundles of joy are scheduled to make their debut shortly. It’s an exciting time for our young families and it’s been fun for the rest of us to be able to rejoice with them as God blesses their lives. There is nothing quite like belonging to God’s family, in good times and also in the bad. Doing life together was God’s intent all along.
Did you know that the foundation for spiritual growth is an intimate connection with God and His family. If you don’t have a place that’s “home,” we would invite you to be part of ours. No matter where you are at on your spiritual journey, we would like to help you take that next step. We are about loving God and loving people. (We’ll hear more on that at this Sunday’s worship service). If you are looking for a place to belong, we encourage you to join us.
You’ll be welcomed with a smile and the coffee is always on (juice, too!).

This is short notice, but there’s another milk giveaway at the Food Shelf today from 2 to 2:30 until it’s gone. The Pine City Food Shelf is receiving hundreds of gallons of milk today (Tuesday) and wants to distribute as much as possible so that it doesn’t spoil. If you know of anyone who could use milk, please let them know!
There is no qualifying and anyone who wants some can come as there is plenty for all. So whether you’re needy or just thirsty, come on by the Food Shelf (220 7th St SW, behind the liquor store).

On Friday moms and kids made a trip out to Fish Lake for some fun in the sun. We had kids of ALL ages… from 4 weeks old on up. We even had a dog!

This outing, along with a number of other events planned for the remainder of the summer, are opportunities to establish and deepen relationships. Ministry happens best in the context of relationships. So keep your eyes open for upcoming opportunities to make some connections.

Relationships are so vital. That’s one reason why we are committed to train and equip people to lead and host small groups. As we have been announcing for some time, come fall we are launching small groups in a big way. We would love for everyone to be involved. Start praying now about how God would have you be involved.
